GoFundMe Update

Friends! Have you seen? My GoFundMe has raised $7,730 since I created it yesterday (if you haven’t seen my GoFundMe page lately, click here). I cannot even believe it. I keep saying that. And crying. All the crying. I had no idea such a venerable, altruistic community and extended community existed around me. Some people donating are people I’ve known since I was in diapers. Some people are friends I have never even met yet. I am in a constant state of awe, wonder, and perpetual gratitude. Gratitude I feel in my bones, in my soul. My cup is definitely runneth-ing over.

Can you even believe it?! 🙂

With endless, pure gratitude,

Maegan

Please ask your employer about having COBRA health insurance. With COBRA, you continue your current health insurance even if you are no longer working. You have to pay the full premium plus a bit more as an administrative fee. You can stay on this coverage for 18 months. While it can be a bit pricey, it will be so so much less than having no insurance. It’s a federal law to offer you this coverage if your employer has 20 or more employees, and even if they don’t, they could probably agree to offer it to you. If that doesn’t work, you can sign up immediately for an Obamacare plan. The law does not allow pre-existing conditions to be considered. Let me know if you need more information. Hoping the insurance nightmares will be behind you soon so you can focus on healing.

Carolyn, this is such great advice! Thank you for taking the time to share that with me. I have a lot to learn about this process. Thank you for teaching me!

I'd love to hear from you!
