This past week has been one of very low energy for me. I’m slowly getting back up to speed at work which means more meetings, more 8 hour screen staring, and more people with whom I haven’t yet met. I became so rundown that I had to cancel my own birthday plans.

So when I found out the Zodiac downtown planned to host a burlesque show, I immediately knew I had to be there front row. My hilarious and endlessly fun cousin came. She’s the one spanking the performer with a wooden “flogging device” we got from an adult store advertising their grand opening. My former roommate and forever gal pal Holly is the one on the right. M took the picture because he wouldn’t be caught dead in a picture with public spanking. I laughed so hard I cried multiple times. This rather raunchy celebration replenished me with sustainable energy. I can’t wait to go again!

Have you ever been to a burlesque show? 10/10 would recommend.
