The Small Miracle of Rain

Tonight I heard the distant roll of thunder for the first time in months. Maybe in a year. Last year, I wasn’t in a space to appreciate small miracles like the thunder and rain. But tonight, as I lay in bed with my wonderful partner, we heard the rumble (over an episode of Boy Meets World, obvs). And soaked up every minute of the cascading taps on our roof.

The rain has now ended. And I am sinking into calm. Appreciating every moment of this sudden spring rainstorm. At the same time acknowledging that this is a huge privilege.

Wishing you a small moment of awe,

Mae

I'd love to hear from you!
