Inspired by watching Romeo and Juliet, I decided to write a sonnet of my own. It’s titled “Thine Eyes”. I thought I wanted to write one because I wanted to see if I could do it. As I wrote, I remember writing many sonnets in high school. For class and for, ugh, fun. Nerdy, I know.

If you’ve ever written anything, or created anything in your lifetime, you may know the feeling of the piece writing (composing, engineering, painting, etc.), itself. The ancient Greeks explained this phenomenon as muses, goddesses whispering into the ears and minds of the great creators of our time. I often think of this as hearing whispers of our collective consciousness. Either way, it’s modern day magic.

I’ve just submitted it, so it should come out on vocal.media in a day or so. There are mediators who review it to ensure no violations of the community rules.
