For years, I’ve been making this cocktail that’s perfect for fall. I believe I found it on a blog and I can’t remember which one (sorry to the blogger who created this recipe! I’m happy to give a shoutout if you’re reading this.) Since then, I make it every time summer begins to dissipate into crisp mornings and moody weather. I’ve also brought it to many a Halloween party, and it’s always a crowd favorite. A little elevated and a little strong. Try it — you can thank me later!
For single servings:
1.1-2 shots of your favorite whiskey or Fireball, (if you enjoy that, which I definitely do, but Malcolm does not)
2. 1/2 cup of apple cider
3. Add a squeeze of fresh orange juice
4. Add a dash of ground cinnamon
5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick (optional, but so cute. I opted out in this photo and have since decided not to opt out again) and either some orange peel in the drink or a fresh orange slice on the rim of the glass.
Serve hot or cold.
*For those of you who don’t do whiskey or alcohol in general, this tastes just as good without the whiskey as it does with it.
I’m working on naming this drink because it’s so good, it deserves one though it may already have a name and I’m a unaware. Any suggestions? I’ve never named a drink before, so I’ll need some assistance 🙂
