One of the hardest parts for me about starting a blog was naming it, coming up with a logo (though I honestly still have to do this and land in a place I enjoy) and coming up with a tagline. I’ve had many different iterations of the line that goes under “Mae Goes West”, and none of them have satisfied me. I’ve been trying to come up with a new one, wracking my brain, but haven’t been able to think of anything. That’s why I decided to ask you for your help.
My blog has evolved from a burgeoning travel blog to pretty much anything I want to write about when the moment strikes me blog. I’ve always had a difficult time categorizing my posts because I write about a little of everything. And that also makes it difficult to create a tagline. What are your ideas? What makes sense there? I’m looking for something clever that sums up my blog. I’ve heard about crowd sourcing, and this is my first go at it.
So, crowd, help me (Distress!SOS! Mayday!) in the comments.
Mae Goes West : WHAT GOES HERE?

I actually like Mae Goes West, it is original and is catchy. I feel like it can encompass many different blogs and doesn’t limit itself to a certain niche. Consider yourself a multi niche writer. As far as the tag line, I do not know. I am new to blogging myself. Once I started writing my blogs I simply categorized them according to subject matter. Examples like, fictional romance, just thoughts, In the kitchen, Money talks, etc. I hope this helps some. Thank you for sharing.
Hmm, multi-niche… I like it! I like the idea of “just thoughts” as well. That would work well with posts that are literally just my stream of consciousness 🙂 Thank you so much for your feedback!
An eclectic outlet.
I like an eclectic outlet! It’s much, much better than what I currently have. Thank you for your input! I love you!
How about something like, living and loving Colorado.
Whoops, that should read ‘living in and loving Colorado’.
Ooh, I like that. I like the idea of stating where I live because I did technically move west from Oklahoma, though I was thinking I was moving to Thailand when I named it. Great idea!
