Malcolm has been making music (on iTunes and Spotify as Colm Day) for a couple years now. He has a ukulele and a six-string guitar, and I have my flute. I’m learning to play guitar/ukulele currently. He asked me to buy him musical instruments for the holidays this year, and I’m pursuing a very exciting lead about a new instrument. I’ll let you know how that pans out. So fun!

The newest instrument to our collection is Malcolm’s keyboard that he stored at his mother’s house. He forgets to get it each time we go to her house, but we snagged it when we were up there for Thanksgiving. Since then, Malcolm and I have been playing piano constantly. We are both newbies to the piano, except both of us can play My Heart Will Go On because duh. And Heart and Soul but I’m still burnt out on that shit from everyone in band knowing how to play it. His keyboard is old, but it has fun features like a “DJ” and piano lessons. We’ve been having a lot of fun. These photos are evidence 🙂

I’d like to know, do you play an instrument? How did you learn a new instrument as an adult? It feels a bit harder than when I was learning to play the flute in 2002, hah!
