I stumbled across this little pond when I was delivering something to a volunteer who lives at the top of a mountain. I decided to explore a bit while I was up there, and lo and behold: this scene. Sometimes when I explore, I don’t find anything of real interest. But other times, I discover something like this. I took a quick walk around the pond, bore witness to cattails swaying in the autumn wind, fell enchanted to the wonder of a new to me discovery. Moments like these give me pure delight.
